"I started going to the Paradise because the other theater in Milwaukee showing classic films closed. The second or third time that I went (I was with my friend Amy), we were nearly to the outer lobby doors when I heard someone behind me yelling "Wait!" Amy and I turned around and this guy came running towards us with his arm in the air. He asked if I'd like to go to lunch sometime and when I said okay he named a day. I said I couldn't go because I had a class that day. He said "Are you in high school?" It was at this point that I started to question the advisability of giving this guy my phone number. Did that mean he was looking for a high school girl? I gave him my real number anyway. We went out for lunch a week or so later. " |
